How official photos are generated

A practical overview of how a compliant official photo is prepared from a user upload.

Shoti starts with a front-facing upload, then applies country-aware checks before the final asset is created. The goal is a clean, traceable workflow that keeps digital and physical delivery modes separate.

Capture and validation

The workflow begins with a source photo that shows the face clearly, uses even light, and avoids strong tilt or obstruction.

Before editing continues, the system validates face position, scale, and basic framing so later steps are based on a usable image.

  • Face centered and fully visible
  • Neutral background or removable background
  • No heavy shadows, glare, or extreme head angle

Automated preparation

After validation, the engine removes the background, aligns the face, and crops to the selected document standard.

This stage is driven by document rules, not generic portrait ratios, so output stays tied to official use instead of social-media style composition.

  • Background cleanup
  • Biometric crop and sizing
  • Print-ready and digital-ready export generation

Approval and delivery

When editing is complete, the order enters the approval window. That review period remains explicit so the customer can confirm the result before finalization.

Digital-only orders finalize into secure digital delivery. Physical orders continue into print-provider submission and shipment tracking after approval.
